To the Editor:
Thank you for supporting the carriage horses of New York in
"Spare the
Horses" (editorial, Nov. 16), and for alerting readers to changes in laws
that are meant to protect them.
I know no one who believes City Councilman Noach Dear's bill is
of any
worth. It is agonizing to see these poor animals engulfed in 20th-century
machinery on our streets.
Please keep fighting attempts to take away the few protections
these
horses have.
