Volunteer To Help The Horses - Coalition to Ban Horse-Drawn Carriages

Volunteer To Help The Horses

Our campaign is currently focusing on gathering signatures on petitions asking Mayor Bloomberg and the City Council to ban the horse-drawn carriage industry in NYC. We need many volunteers to help with this effort - to get signatures, distribute information and to hold posters. Weather permitting, we table every weekend in midtown near Central Park.

We also need people who may want to take on more responsibility in organizing some of these efforts.

Volunteering in this manner is very rewarding and an excellent way to come into contact with the public, to find out how people feel about the carriage trade and to learn more about the political process.

Please contact us at coalition@banhdc.org if you are interested in helping.
