VOLUNTEER
This Saturday, October 7, 2006
Our newsletter - which includes requests for volunteers - has taken
the place of our weekly e- mail request. We welcome volunteers every
weekend.
The Coalition to Ban Horse-Drawn Carriages will be tabling on the
carriage horse issue on Saturday, October 7th of this week to get
signatures on petitions to the Mayor and City Council to ban the
horse-drawn carriage industry in NYC. We need people to get
signatures from passersby and to hold posters. Please join us. Our
efforts are only as good as the number of volunteers we have. An
hour or two to help the horses is all you have to give. This is very
rewarding work and you get to see how people really feel about the
horses and this industry.
Date: Saturday, October 7th Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
