CANADA - Toronto

Note: Many of the cities that we have referred to as having "banned" horse-drawn carriages, actually do not have "hack line" horse carriages as we have in NYC. Some have special events carriages, which are by appointment and very different from hack line. Some cities like Beijing and Toronto do not allow carriages in the city proper. The Coalition to Ban Horse-Drawn Carriages is opposed to hack line carriages where the horses work - as in NYC - 9 hours a day, 7 days a week in heavy traffic
